Moneydance 2015.7 – Personal finance manager. In addition to the minor improvements, we've also got a host of big changes over Moneydance 2015! As usual Moneydance has fantastic support for online.

If you're using a Mac, you can go directly to your data set by right clicking (or Ctrl + clicking) the Moneydance title bar, then selecting the folder directly below your data set to open the folder that contains your data set in Finder.
Moneydance backups are essentially 'saves' of your entire data set, at the time the backup file was created or modified. The backup file will have the file extension.moneydancearchive and is a compressed file. You can configure your automatic backup settings within Preferences - Backups.

The Infinite Kind has released Moneydance 2015, a major upgrade to the company’s personal financial management application. The new version brings a significant redesign to the user interface, giving it a simpler, more modern aesthetic and adding high-resolution graphics for Retina displays. A new storage system fully encrypts data (including attachments) and the app now supports syncing your data to Dropbox or any shared folder (the capability to add another computer to the peer-to-peer syncing system will be added in coming weeks). Moneydance 2015 for the Mac is complemented by a free universal iOS app that also syncs transactions to Dropbox. If you have a license for Moneydance 2014, you can upgrade to Moneydance 2015 for free. If you purchased Moneydance 2012 or earlier, you can upgrade to Moneydance 2015 for $24.99. A number of Extensions have been developed to help with understanding Moneydance and adding features not readily available in the standard product.

THESE EXTENSIONS HAVE BEEN TESTED BUT YOU USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. THEY HAVE BEEN TESTED MAINLY ON WINDOWS. THE SECURITY PRICE AND SECURITY HISTORY LOADS AND THE QUOTE LOADER HAVE BEEN TESTED ON OSX.

A Budget Generator - the 'New' format budgets within Moneydance have prescribed periods and start dates. This extension allows you to enter different cost patterns and then generate the appropriate budget entries within Moneydance
File Display - if you are developing extensions for Moneydance and you wish to understand the contents of your file, this extension displays the contents of the current file
Security Price/History Load - loads security prices from a .csv file. There are two extensions. One aimed at loading current prices and one aimed at loading historical prices
Security Transaction Load - loads transactions from investment and security accounts using a .csv file
Budget Report - reports on budget verses actual with the ability to roll-up actuals into parent categories
Reporting - a generic utility that is used for all reports Matando cabos for mac.
Quote Loader - captures new security and currency prices from FT.com or Yahoo.com

Parameter Files

These extensions store parameters in files that are located in the directory for the current file. See Parameters for the names of the various files created.
